There is so much going on around here these days, it's getting hard to keep up. SLF will try to coordinate with tutors, venues and event organizers in the area to keep you all up to date with what's on offer.

The Festive Season

So hopefully you all enjoyed a scary, yet fun Halloween!  But now we are entering the very festive season of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and finally Chinese New Year.  I know there are a lot of birthdays happening too.... so we all are in for a busy, yet happy, festive time over the next few months.  There are a few new additions to the blog so please check out the "Events" and "Activities" links in the tool bar above.  There is a Christmas Disco planned for the beginnning of December, the same day as the LIS Fair.  Further I'm sure Barb's Christmas Party won't be far after that, and there is a new meditation class that has started in Pui O. 

As a member of the Parent Teacher Group for OWLS I offered to post information about our planned Book and Toy Donation Program.  We are hoping people who are able can donate well kept books to the school during the week 22-28 November.  If you have any toys (that are not noisy, broken, or requiring batteries) that you would like to donate, the drop off week will be from the 29 November to 5 December.  Further a fundraising morning tea is planned for the 27th of November.  If you are able to donate any service or item for auction please email me as soon as possible: katienorman9@gmail.com
